The FanMom Chronicles - Adventures in Geekdom

Most everyone I know is a fan of something.  I mean, there are thousands of teams in a variety of sports that count on it right?  And while being a sports fan is highly accepted and encouraged, there are many fandoms in this world that are considered a little outside the box if you will.  There's probably out there somewhere someone who is a fan of fans (paper or electric or people who are fans of something).  I'm rambling so it's time to tell you what this blog is about.
I happen to be a fan of many things, some that began in childhood (Disney & 80's music) while others are more recent obsessions (The Walking Dead & Starbucks).  Many of my favorite fandoms are often considered "geeky" (ie Star Wars, Marvel, etc.) and for some reason, I rarely find anyone in my inner circle or small town who are also fans, leaving me blathering over something I love on Facebook and getting NO responses!  I'm hoping that through this blog, I can preserve my fandom memories while connecting with other fans and helping others find ways to connect with their inner fan and have some great adventures!  Whether it's finding a new book series, checking out the latest geeky movie, exploring a new fandom with your kiddo, or taking a journey to explore your current fan obsession, I hope you'll enjoy the chronicles of this fanmom in her adventures in geekdom.
